After a terrible morning, which was dealt to all Ukrainians by a soulless enemy, we feel emotionally exhausted and exhausted.
It seems the heart is still fluttering from the sound of the explosions. And the consequences of Russian missile terror knocked the ground out from under even the most resilient.
To help yourself recover, use the advice of our psychologist Alla Borisova. Be sure to share them with your loved ones.
So to ease your emotional state after a missile attack:
- Be kind to yourself. Don't demand normal performance or pace during times of stress.
- Any physical activity saves a lot. Exercise, do yoga, run, swim. Whatever is available at the moment.
- Do not keep your face tense. Relax your jaws, massage your face or just move anything that moves.
- Pay attention to your breathing. Don't freeze, feel how the air fills your lungs and leaves them. Feel alive.
- Sleep as much as possible, and even a little more.
- Drink warm tea or warm water. Perfect with sugar. After all, glucose molecules serve as the most effective fuel - a source of heat and energy that ensure the normal functioning of all processes.
- Remove all unnecessary sounds. Don't strain your auditory senses. Listen to what you want. If possible, be alone with nature.
- Keep doing the routine. Such ordinary things as washing the dishes, cleaning the apartment or the closet, cooking or any other actions you do every day are very important for the mind, which perceives the above as reliable supports.
- Don't stay in the dark. Charge your gadgets when there's light, turn on flashlights and candles when it's dark. Light always overcomes darkness, it just takes time.
- Speak where there is an opportunity to be heard. If there is enough resource, be a support for those in need.
Let's hold on. We must, we can.
