She sits in the right seat of a combat helicopter next to the crew commander. Her hair is thoughtfully braided - because it's more convenient when you put on a helmet. She is collected, focused, because during takeoff you need to warn your partner in time about obstacles to the helicopter that lie in wait ahead.
"Piloting a helicopter is a job that any woman can do, just like a man. Takeoff and landing are the most difficult. And everything else is not as difficult as it might seem," says 22-year-old Kateryna, the only female combat helicopter pilot in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
