Vadym Stolar: The Foundation decided to provide food aid to a number of public organizations

In April, the Vadym Stolar Charitable Foundation held a competition among public organizations for participation in a grant program with a total fund of UAH 1,000,000. The program was aimed at implementing projects to support the military and Ukrainians affected by the war. Then the winners were the projects aimed at the rehabilitation of the defenders of Ukraine and the arrangement of the necessary centers for the physical and psychological recovery of our soldiers. However, among more than 100 applications received for the competition, 70% provided for the receipt of food kits to help Ukrainians affected by the war. So Vadym Stolar offered the Foundation's team to provide a number of organizations with food aid outside of the competition - which was done.

Vadym Stolar is sure of the need to support important public initiatives

"For the first time, the Foundation implemented such a project - a competition among public organizations to receive a grant. Our goal was to provide financial support to associations able to help wounded fighters and civilians affected by war. The idea is to scale up activities aimed at supporting Ukrainians through cooperation with other charitable organizations. Because we understand that there are many foundations in Ukraine with already developed connections, logistics, and a volunteer team - and from our side, we are ready to extend a helping hand to them and support them in their activities.

After launching the grant program and receiving more than 100 applications, we concluded that most of the projects submitted to the competition are aimed at rehabilitating the military and providing food aid to citizens. In the end, the winners were the projects related to the recovery of military personnel after being wounded. They were the ones who received UAH 1,000,000 from the Foundation.

But more than two-thirds of the applications we received were related to food aid - and we could not ignore it. So I proposed, and the team supported, to provide food assistance to some public organizations outside of the grant program competition. I am sure of the need to support important public initiatives, especially in these difficult times, so we will continue projects in this direction," said the founder of the Foundation, Vadym Stolar.

The Vadym Stolar Foundation provided details on food aid to public organizations

"Of course, we could not ignore those applications where charitable organizations asked for food aid for people, so we accepted the proposal of Vadym Stolar, the founder of the Foundation. And to date, more than 5,000 food kits have already been received by NGO volunteers in the Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Kyiv regions. We always try to provide support to everyone who comes to us - this is important in these difficult times," said Foundation volunteer Nataliya Prykhodko.

Representatives of NGOs that received food aid from the Vadym Stolar Foundation spoke about the importance of mutual support

"I am very glad that thanks to the grant program launched by the Vadym Stolar Foundation, we got to know each other and started cooperating. Thanks to this partnership, we were able to satisfy a certain number of open applications for receiving food kits from "Caritas-Kyiv" beneficiaries. We are planning further cooperation not only regarding the provision of purely humanitarian aid, but also in other directions. Unfortunately, we don't always have enough of our own resources, but thanks to the partnership we started with the Vadym Stolar Foundation, we can help more people and jointly meet the needs of IDPs and everyone who needs help and comes to us for it," Yevhen Kudryashov, a representative of the "Caritas-Kyiv" Charitable Foundation emphasized.
