This woman was born into the luxury of her parents’ palace in the center of Kyiv, came from the renowned Tereshchenko family, and lived a long life full of challenges. She was aware of her calling, so from a young age she chose her own path. She could have simply enjoyed worldly comforts, like most women of her social standing — however, she was too energetic, determined, and from childhood accustomed to respecting hard work.
