Above all, she values freedom — the freedom to create and remain true to herself. She is one of the most successful Ukrainian artists of today.

Artist Nina Murashkina says about herself: “I was shaped by a constant sense of contrast. Between love and control within the family, between the beauty and cruelty of Donetsk, between the church’s idea of purity and real human nature, between femininity as freedom and femininity as the expectations of others. I have always lived within these contradictions, and that is exactly where my works are born.”
