"We gathered children from families who had to leave their homes because of the war. All of them have different experiences: some have played football before, and some have only dreamed of it. Recruitment for the group began at the beginning of August, and now classes are actively underway, conducted by professional coaches from the "Junior Stars" Football Academy of FC "Brovaria". to the upcoming tournament, where we are determined to win the prize place!" - said Nataliya Prykhodko, a volunteer.
Coaches of the football academy are sure that collective sports not only develop the body, but also help children adapt to a new place and make new friends.
"At the moment, our task is to involve children in sports. In our case - football. Many have never worked with trainers, for them everything is the first time. There is a lot of work to be done, if we talk about a big goal, but now we want to show the children the direction in which they can move, help them adapt in a new city, find activities to their liking and new friends", - coach of the academy Maksym Kutakov.
Preparation for the tournament will last three weeks, and young football players aged 7 to 10 will be involved in it. Training takes place in the city of Brovary.
Since the beginning of the large-scale invasion, our team has been paying a lot of attention to supporting the forcibly displaced, because people who have lost their homes are most in need of help. We helped with the evacuation of people, resettlement of displaced persons, provided them with the necessary medicines, provided and continue to provide food kits. An important direction of our work is the implementation of social projects for those who suffered from the war - especially for children, who are the future of Ukraine.
The football tournament is one of a number of such initiatives, the purpose of which is the socialization of IDP children, their involvement in sports and a healthy lifestyle, and psychological rehabilitation.
