How we wish we could simply enjoy this beautiful winter: taking leisurely walks in the crisp winter air, playing in the snow with our children, and laughing when our feet slip on the ice yet again... Instead, we're doing everything we can to keep what little warmth remains in our homes, staying up at night waiting for the electricity to come back on so we can run the washing machine, and learning to sleep in sleeping bags.
We put on every warm piece of clothing we own and turn our homes into makeshift "Points of Invincibility" because we have loved ones nearby who are freezing, who can't even work from home. Sometimes, we're amazed by our own resilience, solidarity, and unity. And we're surprised to realize that half the winter has already passed without us even noticing.
Things are incredibly difficult for us, and they may well get even harder. But the challenges we've faced have already made us stronger, more responsible, and more organized. They've taught us to think several steps ahead and prepare for whatever comes next. So, dear friends, we believe that together, we have enough endurance and inner strength to stand firm, hold on, and make it through this difficult journey.
