We know that Russia&rsquo;s goal, if not to destroy us, is to exhaust us and break our spirit. Yet despite its hopes, with every horrific night we grow even more united and more attentive to one another. Because we remain compassionate and deeply human &mdash; able to support, comfort, and embrace each other even when fear feels overwhelming.

We must hold on to these qualities, friends, and keep going despite the immense exhaustion that has built up over years of hardship. We must take care of ourselves and be a source of strength for one another, because today our power lies in unity and care.
