Achievements Ukrainian youth

On the occasion of Youth Day, we asked a generation of young Ukrainian men and women about growing up during these difficult years.

What we received was a deeply honest portrait of an experience they never chose, yet one that has become shared by thousands.

Sadly, many have learned to sleep fully dressed and fall asleep to the sound of air-raid sirens, move homes not by choice, and put life off until “later.” But even through this journey, young Ukrainians have stayed together — holding on to one another, finding support in those around them, and becoming stronger along the way.

Today, they continue to learn geography through the cities on the map where their family and friends now live. They keep growing, mastering new professions, and moving forward with courage. And despite the uncertainty of our shared “tomorrow,” they still try to make plans.

Perhaps this is one of the greatest achievements of Ukraine’s young generation: noticing the moments that give them the strength to keep going and refusing to let uncertainty overshadow the life they are living today.
