A week ago, a tactical medicine training for schoolchildren took place at the "Athens" school

A month ago, the administration of the "Athens" school contacted us. Educators have asked to hold a training session on takmed for their high school students. We could not refuse, and organized a free class, because we fully support initiatives aimed at the development of schoolchildren.

Moreover, the harsh realities of today force everyone, without exception, to learn new skills. Important knowledge of pre-hospital care can, without exaggeration, save lives not only on the battlefield. During the martial law, when the enemy regularly fires at civilian infrastructure in different parts of Ukraine, even teenagers need to know how to act in critical situations.

So, a week ago, a tactical medicine training for schoolchildren took place at the "Athens" school. Volunteers of the Vadym Stolar Foundation prepared everything necessary for the class, and invited military servicewoman Kateryna Pop, a certified combat medic, to conduct it.

So, at the takmed training, the students learned:

- what types of bleeding and wounds are there and how to distinguish them;
- how to assess the condition of the victim based on vital signs;
- how to apply a tourniquet;
- in which case it is possible to move a wounded person and how to do it correctly.

After the lecture, the students "practiced" the acquired knowledge under the comments and remarks of the expert.

The event was made possible thanks to the support of the International European University.

If you also want to arm yourself with practical technical skills, follow the Foundation's announcements on social networks. We will definitely inform you about the registration for the upcoming free course on tactical medicine.
