Which categories of the population can receive a payment of 1,500 UAH this month, and is anything required to receive it?

Starting from early April, under the targeted support program for pensioners and vulnerable groups, the government begins providing payments of 1,500 UAH. Individuals who, as of April 1, 2026, have been assigned a pension or state social benefits are eligible for this additional payment.

Provided that the pension amount (including bonuses, supplements, and increases) does not exceed 25,950 UAH (10 subsistence minimums for persons who have lost working capacity), the payment will be granted, in particular, to recipients of:

  • insurance pensions by age, disability, or loss of a breadwinner;
  • service-length pensions and special pensions (for civil servants, local government officials, members of parliament, researchers, military personnel), provided such pensioners are eligible for an age pension under the solidarity system;
  • disability pensions and survivor pensions assigned to military personnel, civil servants, local government officials, members of parliament, researchers, citizens affected by the Chornobyl disaster, as well as social pensions.

At the same time, persons who directly participated in the defense of Ukraine, as well as family members of those who died (deceased or missing), and participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chornobyl nuclear disaster, are entitled to the payment regardless of their pension amount.

The payment is also предусмотрена (provided) for recipients of state assistance, including those receiving:

  • housing assistance for internally displaced persons (IDPs);
  • state social assistance for low-income families;
  • basic social assistance;
  • state social assistance for individuals without pension rights and persons with disabilities; persons with disabilities since childhood and children with disabilities;
  • caregiver support, including for those caring for individuals with mental disabilities;
  • temporary state assistance for individuals who have reached retirement age but are not eligible for a pension;
  • child-related benefits, including:
    • single mothers;
    • guardians;
    • families with seriously ill children;
    • large families;
    • families where parents evade alimony or cannot provide for the child;
    • children deprived of parental care;
    • financial support for foster parents and family-type children's homes.

The payment of the additional financial support will be made automatically in April without the need for any additional application.

Important: If a person is eligible for the one-time payment on multiple grounds, it will be granted based on only one of them.
