Family doctor, mother of two sons

"The older son perceived such a new reality painfully, but quite adequately, and with the younger, ten-year-old, it was quite difficult. He closed in himself, and was so afraid that he did not go outside at all. He thought that a bomb would fall on him immediately. And on March 6, at night, he had a real hysteria - he dreamed that I was killed," Inna says. And that's when she decided to take her sons to a safe place.

At first I was not going to leave

Bypassing big cities, as people advised, the woman and her children went to her father in Rokytne, Kyiv region. Her godmother and her son arrived there from the capital. Two families left Ukraine.

Father refused to go with them. "Dad is 70 years old, his oncology is in remission. But he said that he will not go anywhere, and if the occupier comes, he will spit in his eyes."

There is enough floor space for everyone

They went to Kraków, where a friend who had left earlier welcomed them to a completely empty rented apartment. "But at that time and in those circumstances, this was also considered a great luck - there was no free housing. So, a friend said a famous phrase at the time, which became a meme among us: "There will be enough floors for everyone", - recalls Inna.

The woman recalls how the children adapted to the changes, how she was forced to change jobs due to circumstances. She tells how she is waiting for permission from the local authorities to work in her profession, and how she directed her free time to volunteering.
