Children from six Ukrainian cities will receive gifts from the Vadym Stolar Foundation and take part in festive activities within the “Spark of Childhood” project. These events have been held for the fourth year in a row.
“Spark of Childhood” is a holiday initiative launched by the Foundation in December 2022. Its goal is to support children and bring them a sense of New Year spirit, even amid constant shelling and prolonged blackouts. This year, the Foundation’s team will once again visit Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Odesa.
Event locations are chosen close to equipped shelters so that, in case of an air raid alert, children, their parents, and volunteers can quickly move to a safe place.
“We know how difficult childhood is for young Ukrainians today and how much they need positive emotions. That’s why we do our best to lift their spirits and create a magical atmosphere, organizing small celebrations with games and entertainment hosted by animators. And the sweet gifts that we purchase, pack, and deliver ourselves help create a true Christmas and New Year feeling,” said Foundation volunteer Nataliia Prykhodko.
Holiday gifts will be provided to children from families receiving ongoing support from the Vadym Stolar Foundation: children of fallen defenders, prisoners of war and missing soldiers — including those who previously participated in the “Recover Yourself” project — as well as children from large and low-income families.
“No child in the world should have to experience what Ukrainian children are going through today. That’s why we must do everything possible to give them as many reasons for joy as we can,” said Vadym Stolar, founder of the Foundation.
If your family belongs to one of the categories listed above and you live in one of the mentioned cities, we encourage you to follow the Foundation’s social media pages. There you can easily track when registration opens for participation in the celebration and gift distribution in your area, so you don’t miss the opportunity to submit a request.
